Day 40

Scripture of the Day: To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. Ecclesiastes 2:26

Happy Father's Day Daddy! Happy Pappy's Day! Happy Do-dah Day! Happy Grandad Day!

I was supposed to get up and get donuts, but of course, that didn't happen! So we went to Corner Bakery in DC instead. Wayne eats at this certain one so much, that they even recognize him without the uniform, so he got the law enforcement discount! After breakfast, we were trying to see who was in the dark limo outside of the Willard, they rushed him out the back door fast, who knows!

We went to Haine's Point today to check out the large play ground! Of course, the kids loved it, but got really hot after a little while. We played and then left to go look at bikes for the kids. On the way to Fairfax, we got a call from Steve and ended up meeting our friends back at Corner Bakery! Ellen, it was sooooooo good to see you, thanks for making my day! Hope you all had a great time at the museum!

We ended up at Cracker Barrel for lunch (wayne loves the sunday fried chicken) and then we got Jon a Lightening McQueen bike and Mady her dream Barbie Bike! You would think they won the lottery! We came home and they rode the bikes over to the park nearby. Mady rides really really well, Jon still has alot to learn!

We were tired afterward, came home and after a bath, Jon was begging to go to sleep!

God Bless!
