Wow, am I behind, but it is hard to blog and move! So here I am a few days (weeks) later trying to remember the past weeks! We left on Sunday the 31st to go back to Roswell and prepare for the movers. Nana and Doodah gave us a huge couch that we loaded up and drove back to Roswell. We love the couch and now can't wait to get settled so we can all snuggle on it!
Nana stayed for a day helping me get ready and seperate our stuff that was going with us. On tuesday, she left and Daddy went back to work. We didn't do much but tried to enjoy our last day before the movers hit! It was so nice to just lay around and do nothing.
Wednesday, the movers hit bright and early and by lunch our kitchen was packed up and so was the garage. These were the fastest guys I have ever seen. They had just about the whole house done by 8 that night.
Thursday, Daddy was at home to watch and they finished packing and then started to load the truck. We were exhausted by the time it was over! We knew it was the last night in our house. We watched the last night of the DNC and then called it a night.
Friday, the movers came and finished up. We got a room at the Fairfield and finished working on our house. It was so hard by this point to be there. Too many great memories....
Saturday, we went and grabbed the rest of our stuff, finished cleaning and loaded up and drove to Lubbock. We were all exhausted, but had a great time in Lubbock driving through the campus and we ate at Texas Land and Cattle. The kids and Daddy swam while Mommy rested. A very very long week, but it is almost over and we are about to begin an exciting chapter!
So there is moving week in a nutshell, I think I have blocked out the bad memories and have only kept the good. While we were sad to leave the house, we know that someone will come along and buy it and love it as much as we did!
These are some random pictures from the week!
God Bless!
